Nicolas CADIC

Nicolas Cadic has for ever been painting. Watercolour is his way and landscapes the source of his emotions.

His uncle taught him his art while the youngster had the Morbihan Gulf in his line of sight. From then on, every port of call has inspired him, from the coast of Brittany of his childhood to the Caledonian landscapes of today.

Feeling very humble in front of the wealth and riches of watercoulour, he forever tries his hand and discovers the magic world of light, the contrast of water and earth.

Who can master this subtle art? New colours, new mixes, it all is for him a permanent quest for new sights, endlessly trying to tame glints and reflection, lights, fusions in a quest to reproduce the beauty of nature.

For over 30 years now, with colours and brushes in hand (and sometimes a camera), Nicolas Cadic has painted landscapes all witnessing his inexhaustible and never achieved journey.
